Clips Generation Failed

{"content":"

Clip generation can fail for a few known reasons. When it fails because of a service error, Ssemble automatically refunds any credits deducted for that video.

The video needs a person talking on camera

Ssemble's AI finds clip-worthy moments from speech and a visible speaker. It cannot identify a \"scene\" in content with no talking head to follow.

This means the following often fail to generate clips:

• Cartoons and animation

• Music videos and lyric videos

• Gaming footage without commentary

• Any video where no one is speaking on camera

Submit videos where someone is speaking on camera: podcasts, interviews, educational content, and similar talking formats work best.

Age-restricted YouTube videos

YouTube requires viewers to sign in and confirm their age before it plays an age-restricted video. Ssemble imports videos without signing in to YouTube, so it can't pass that age check and the import fails.

This failure doesn't always show a clear message. It can look like:

• The project stuck on a loading spinner that never finishes.

• A \"Network Error\" message, even though your connection is fine.

How to check if a video is age-restricted

1. Open the YouTube video in an incognito or private browser window.

2. If YouTube asks you to sign in to confirm your age before playing it, the video is age-restricted.

Age-restricted videos can't be imported into Ssemble. Try a different, non-restricted video instead.

No credits are used when an import fails for this reason.
