How to Edit or Cancel Scheduled Posts

Ssemble makes it easy to schedule video posts to multiple social platforms in advance — but plans can change! This guide explains how to edit details or cancel scheduled posts to keep your content calendar accurate.

📂 Accessing Your Scheduled Posts

🔎 Calendar View

  1. Go to the Calendar section from the main menu or visit https://app.ssemble.com/calendar

✏️ Editing Scheduled Posts

✅ What You Can Edit

Before a post goes live, you can change:

  • Post Title/Caption

  • Description (YouTube only)

  • Privacy Settings (YouTube only)

  • Scheduled Date & Time

Note: Platform or target account cannot be changed once scheduled.

✏️ How to Edit

📆 Calendar View:

  1. Click the Edit button.

  2. In the edit modal, update title, description, privacy, or time.

  3. Click Save Changes.

  4. You’ll see a confirmation message.

⚠️ Editing Restrictions

You cannot edit:

  • Posts that are published or processing.

  • Platform, target account, or video file.

 

❌ Canceling Scheduled Posts

✅ When to Cancel

  • You found a mistake.

  • Plans changed.

  • Strategy shifted.

  • Platform-specific issues.

❌ How to Cancel

📆 From Calendar:

  1. Click Cancel button.

  2. Confirm the cancellation.

 

🔄 After Cancellation

  • The post is removed from the queue immediately.

  • Status changes to Canceled.

  • No notifications are sent to social platforms.

  • Video stays available for rescheduling.

 

🔁 Rescheduling Failed Posts

❌ Why Posts Fail

  • Rate limit exceeded

  • Policy violation

  • Network error

✅ How to Reschedule

  1. Find the failed post (red triangle icon).

  2. Click Reschedule.

  3. Fix the issue (e.g., reconnect account).

  4. Pick a new date & time.

  5. Click Reschedule Post.

  • Q: How far ahead can I schedule?
    Up to 6 months in advance.

  • Q: Can I edit a post after publishing?
    No — edit directly on the platform.

  • Q: Are canceled posts shown in analytics?
    No — they are excluded.

  • Q: Can I recover a canceled post?
    No — but you can reschedule the same video.

  • Q: Do edits affect post order?
    Only if you change the time.
